Pablo Vergara (Chile, 1980) is a composer of art music, whose works have been performed in Europe and Americas by several artists such as Linda Jankowska, Johannes Haase, Diego Castro, Paola Muñoz, Peyee Chen, Rubén Barros, Kathryn Schulmeister, Clara Saleiro; ensembles Vertixe Sonora, Distractfold, Mdi, Ensamble Contemporáneo, Line Upon Line Percussion, Ensamble Compañía, Two New Duo, Cepromusic, New Babylon, Les Cris de Paris; Orchestre National de Lorraine, Orquesta Sinfónica de Chile, and many others. He studied composition with Aliocha Solovera (2005-2008) and Pablo Aranda (2002-2004); and has participated in several workshops and festivals including Injuve 2008, Acanthes 2010, Manifeste 2012 and Composit 2016. Formal studies: 2013-2017: PhD at the University of Huddersfield under Aaron Cassidy's supervision. 2009-2010: Master in Composition at Universidad de Chile under the guidance of Jorge Pepi-Alós. 2003-2006: Composition Degree at Universidad Católica de Chile (Aliocha Solovera, Pablo Aranda, Cristian Morales). 2000-2002: Composition at Universidad de Chile (Andrés Alcalde, Cirilo Vila, Aliocha Solovera and Pablo Aranda). Currently, he teaches composition at Universidad Católica de Chile.
